Final Thoughts on the MasterLiquid 360 ION
Cooler Master set out to make the MasterLiquid 360 ION the face of modern liquid cooling, and I think they have pretty much achieved that goal, at least from a performance perspective. Topping the charts in our load testing, the 360 ION was more than capable of cooling our test system. No doubt this is the result of improvements to their Gen X pump design, as well as the use of the Mobius 120P ARGB fans. Cooler Master is continually revising their dual-chamber pump design, and it keeps on resulting in improved performance. Additionally, the Mobius fans are Cooler Master’s premier model, with a vast array of design improvements over their previous models.
With regards to aesthetics, I think the 360 ION looks great. The ARGB fans offer plenty of lighting options, and the 2.1″ IPS LCD looks great in the updated pump housing, along with the surrounding ARGB LEDs. Unfortunately there is no video support for the screen within the MasterCTRL application. That said, there are still a lot of built-in options for customizing the look of the cooler to your liking, and visually monitoring various components as well.
There isn’t really much left to say, other than I think the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 ION has a lot of great things going for it. Amazing load and idle performance without a ton of noise, a nice looking IPS LCD display and plenty of ARGB LEDs, and software control to back it all up make for a very solid package. Coming in at $249.99 over at our favorite online retailer, the 360 ION does have a price point that reflects the upgraded components like ARGB fans and an LCD display. Considering you have a 6 year warranty should you run into any issues, the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 ION receives a 9 out of 10.
