XFX Radeon RX 7900 GRE Graphics Card Overview
The XFX Radeon RX 7900 GRE is a pretty “plain jane” card in terms of design. Let’s first go over its size. The official dimensions of the card are 33.5 x 13 x 5.2 cm, meaning that it should fit pretty easily in most mid-tower systems.
As I said the card is pretty plain with its all black shroud along with black fans. The card features three cooling fans with the two outer fans being larger than the center fan. In the center of each fan is a sticker that is black and grey.
Looking at the card we can see that it features a thick aluminum fin stack with multiple heatpipes. On the side of the card that will show out from your system there are both Radeon and XFX logos, but there is no RGB lighting. On this side of the card you’ll find a dual-BIOS switch as well as your power connections. For power there are two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors.
The back of the card has a full-cover metal backplate, there are no logos or anything like that on the back, but it is vented and there is an opening on the end for air to flow through since the PCB does not extend to the end of the card. There are also cut-outs where your power connections are which makes connecting cables much easier.
When it comes to connections on the card we have three DisplayPort 2.1 and a single HDMI 2.1. We can also see the card is a bit thicker than 2 slots, XFX lists it as a 2.5 slot card.
