When it comes to DDR5 Patriot is launching their Viper Venom DDR5 memory today! The Viper series from Patriot has been around for a very long time and is known for its performance and reliability. Patriot is offering their new Viper Venom series in both RGB and non-RGB versions. Today we are taking a look at the RGB version which is currently available in 32GB kits only ranging from 5600 MHz all the way up to 6200 MHz. On the test bench we have the PVVR532G620C40K kit which is a 32GB kit (2x16GB) running at 6200 MHz with timings of 40-40-40-76 at 1.35V. Let’s see what this memory is all about!
Special thanks to Patriot for providing us with the Viper Venom DDR5-6200 32GB Memory Kit to review.
Packaging
The Viper Venom DDR5 memory kit comes in Patriot’s typical retail packaging for memory. On the front there is a picture of the memory and a sticker letting us know the capacity and speed of the kit.
Flipping the package over we have a little more information on the kit and there are two small windows in the package so you can verify the memory inside.
Getting everything out of the box we have our two memory modules inside a clamshell package and a Viper Gaming sticker.
