System Overview & Testing
We installed the ARES DDR5 in our Z690 test system which is made up of the following components.
Processor: Intel Core i9-12900K
Graphics Card: MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero
Memory: 32GB Lexar ARES (DDR5-5200)
Storage: Samsung 870 EVO
Power: Corsair AX860i
Cooling: be quiet! Pure Loop 360mm
Case: Open PC Test Bench
Taking a look at CPU-Z we can see this memory is running at the JEDEC speeds of 4800 MHz with timings of 40-40-40-76.
For testing we will run the memory at these settings using the below benchmarking software. Below is a list of benchmarking software that we use.
