Last year when we took a look at Lexar’s ARES DDR5-5200 32GB Memory Kit we hinted that an RGB version was in the works and now it is here! This memory features almost the same design as the non-RGB version, except here we have an RGB lighting strip at the top of the memory. The kit we are taking a look at today is a 32GB (2x16GB) kit running at 6000 MHz with timings of 34-38-38-76 at 1.3V. Is this the DDR5 you are going to need to your new build? Read on as we find out!
Special thanks to Lexar for providing us with the ARES RGB DDR5-6000 Memory Kit to review.
Specifications
Packaging
The ARES RGB DDR5 comes in a nice retail package. On the front there is a picture of the kit and it lets us know the capacity, speed, and what RGB software the memory is compatible with.
Flipping over to the back there is some more information on the memory and a list of specifications.
Opening the box up all you’ll find is the memory, which is nicely protected inside of a clamshell package.
