Thermaltake Core P5 Chassis Review

Almost all PC cases have the same overall design. They are in the shape of a tower and our components always go in the same places. Sometimes we see some radical designs on the inside or outside of cases, but not too often. Recently wall-mounted PC’s and PC’s made to look like art have become very popular. We actually covered a few of these custom-built creations in our Case Mod Friday section. Not everyone has the time or the skill to build their own custom case. Well Thermaltake comes to the rescue with their brand new Core P5 Chassis. This chassis is designed for builders and gives you a whole lot of options when it comes to putting together an awesome system. On top of that once you are done the chassis allows you to display your creation or even wall-mount it! Let’s jump in and see what the Core P5 is all about!

Special thanks to Thermaltake for providing us with the Core P5 to review.

Packaging
The Core P5 comes in Thermaltake’s typical retail packaging. On the front there is a picture of the case all put together with a system inside.

On the opposite side there is an exploded view of the case showing all of its components.

The actual box that the chassis comes in is very thin. On the side you will find a full list of specifications. One thing I like is that Thermaltake has listed the clearances for CPU coolers, graphics cards and power supplies.

Opening the box up inside you are going to find the the pieces of the case nicely packaged and protected inside of Styrofoam.

Getting everything out you have the main chassis, feet, mounting hardware, and the acrylic top. The acrylic top is completely covered in protective material. If you’ve ever ordered any acrylic before it is the same type, which ensures you will have no scratches or anything like that when the panel arrives.
