MelGeek Pixel Lego-Themed Mechanical Keyboard Review

MelGeek Pixel Lego-Themed Mechanical Keyboard MelGeek Pixel Lego-Themed Mechanical Keyboard

Earlier this year we had the chance to take a look at the MelGeek Mojo84 keyboard and we were very impressed. Well MelGeek is back with a pretty interesting Lego-themed mechanical keyboard in their new Pixel. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this as the entire keyboard is of course Lego-themed and is brick-compatible with with existing Lego pieces so you can build on this keyboard to really make it your own. The Pixel is a rather large tenkeyless mechanical keyboard that you can use wired or wirelessly. If you are a Lego fan you are going to love this keyboard, but is it for everyone? Read on as we find out!

Special thanks to MelGeek for providing us with the Pixel Mechanical Keyboard to review.

Packaging

The Pixel comes in a pretty cool box. On the front there is a little slider that when you move it over reveals a second image that shows you have the Pixel inside the box. Little things like that really make the unboxing experience of this keyboard really cool! On the back of the box we have a list of specifications.

Opening the box up you are greeted by the product manual. Moving it out of the way we find the keyboard and all of the boxes of accessories are Lego-themed, again adding to the cool unboxing experience.

Opening the box up and getting everything out we have the Pixel keyboard, USB cable, 2.4 GHz wireless USB dongle, six bags of extra tiles and bricks, rubber feet, a keycap puller, and the product manual.

I really like MelGeek’s attention to detail on both the cable and USB dongle as they are Lego-themed. This not only matches the keyboard, but also allows you to build on them. For those wondering the included cable is a Type-C to Type-A.
