Adaptive Boost Technology
As I mentioned the new Core i9 “K” and “F” parts make use of a new Intel Adaptive Boost technology. This allows users with enhanced power and cooling systems additional multi-core turbo frequency while still within the spec’s current and temperature limits.
You can enable this feature in your motherboards BIOS, although on our motherboard (Gigabyte Z590 AORUS Master) it was set to “auto” by default. We enabled it and ran a few tests to see if it would make a difference.
