Back in 2019 Corsair finally gave the RGB treatment to their Dominator Platinum DDR4 memory. Not just any type of RGB treatment either, they added their new Capellix RGB LEDs which a much brighter and use less power than typical RGB LEDs you find in other RGB memory modules. We reviewed the Dominator Platinum RGB back then are were extremely impressed. At that time Corsair only offered kits in a black version with black heatspreaders. Well now they are offering a white version with pearl white heatspreaders, gold accents, and of course that iconic Dominator Platinum design. We will be taking a look at the CMT32GX4M2C3200C16W kit which is a 32GB kit (2x16GB) running at 3200 MHz with timings of 16-18-18-36 at 1.35V. This memory will be perfect for a white-themed build! Let’s jump in and see what it is all about!
Special thanks to Corsair for providing us with the Dominator Platinum RGB White DDR4-3200 32GB Memory Kit to review.
Specifications
Packaging
Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB memory comes in a very unique box that it all its own. It basically is a square box with its corners cut off, which makes it stand out. On the front we have a picture of the memory and it lets us know our capacity and speed.
Flipping over to the back there is a bit of information on the memory itself as well as cutouts so you can read the sticker on the back of the memory so you know that the memory advertised on the box is actually what you are getting.
Opening the box up you’ll find a foam holder with the memory inside of it. Each module is inside of a plastic clamshell package so you know nothing will happen to the memory when it is in transit.
