Lexar ARMOR 700 Overview
The Lexar ARMOR 700 is about what I would call the standard size for a portable solid state drive. The official dimensions are 86.2mm x 54.4mm x 13.2mm. Lexar has wrapped the drive in a sort of rubberized shell, which protects it. Lexar has rated this drive for 3-meter drop protection. The drive is all black with a Lexar logo on the front.
Flipping around to the back it just says “ARMOR 700”. One thing I did notice is that since we do have the rubber exterior the drive is really easy to hold and won’t fall out of your pocket if you are carrying it.
Looking at the ends of the drive we can see how it is encapsulated around the rubber exterior. On one side we have a USB-C connection and on the other it lets us know the capacity, which in our case in 2TB. The drive is also available in 1TB and 4TB options.
The drive itself is IP66-rated which means it is completely dust tight and protects against splashing, falling, or dripping water.
