Gigabyte CES 2024 Gigabyte CES 2024

As we entered Gigabyte’s meeting room here at CES 2024, you could tell they were excited to talk about their new monitors, as they were all lined up directly to our right as we walked in. This set of monitors on display makes for an impressive lineup, and we are going to provide some information on each one below. If you are in the market for a new display, especially for gaming, then you definitely need to check this list out.

AORUS CO49DQ

First off, and probably the most impressive, was the CO49DQ, a 49″ dual-QHD (5120 x 1440) OLED display. With a 144Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, this monitor is poised to present you with a ton of screen real estate, impressive visual clarity, and smooth visuals. The 10-bit color and 99% DCI-P3 rating bring color accuracy to the forefront for content creators, and while AMD FreeSync Premium support offers gamers a sure bet when it comes to their gaming experience. With two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports, you have plenty of options for connecting the latest gaming hardware. With a curved screen which helps bring you into your game, the CO49DQ is a great choice for gamers that want it all. We expect to see the CO49DQ launch at the end of January, at an expected price of $1,299, though we expect that price may come down a bit with the rest of the OLED market.

AORUS FO32U2P

While curved monitors are quite popular with gamers, the FO32U2P looks to be a great option for those still wanting a flat monitor experience. With a 32″ form factor and 3840 x 2160 resolution, this OLED display offers plenty of room and pixel density for great clarity, while the 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time lend their hand to smooth flowing visuals. The 10-bit color and 99% DCI-P3 rating bring color accuracy to the forefront for content creators, and while AMD FreeSync Premium support offers gamers a sure bet when it comes to their gaming experience. As far as connectivity goes, we have a single Mini DisplayPort 2.1 connection, one DisplayPort 2.1 port, and even an additional DisplayPort 2.1 out port for daisy chaining of multiple monitors. This monitor is expected to launch sometime in March for $1,299. There is also a variant of this monitor that will be available without the DisplayPort 2.1 ports, at a reduced cost of $1,199.

AORUS MO34WQC2

Back on the curved side of things, we have the MO34WQC2, a 34″ display with a resolution of 3440 x 1440, with an aspect ratio of 21:9. This is again another OLED display, and with this screen we have 8-bit color and 99% DCI-P3 rating. With a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, you can expect that this monitor would be a good choice for games where quick response times are in demand. Two DisplayPort 1.4 ports are present, along with two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack. A built-in KVM lets you connect and control multiple devices, which is a great added value on this monitor. Coming in April of 2024, we should se the MO34WQC2 launch for $999.

AORUS FO27Q3

Last up is the FO27Q3, but it is certainly not the least. This 27″ monitor sports a 1440p resolution and OLED technology, just like the rest of the screens we viewed. A 360Hz refresh rate, 0.03 response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support make this a great option for those fast-paced FPS and MOBA titles that prioritize fast responses and reactions. With 10-bit color and 99% DCI-P3 color capabilities, your quick moving images will not only be smooth, but they will look quite nice as well. Input options come in the form of two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a single 3.5mm audio jack. Availability looks to be some time in Q1 or Q2 of 2024, and while it is still undetermined, we expect the price to be in the sub-$999 range.
