YEYIAN is a company you might not have heard of. Based in San Diego, they are mainly known for their pre-built gaming PCs, but recently they have ventured into the monitor space and today we are taking a look at one of their latest models, the Sigurd 4000. This 34-inch ultra-wide display makes use of a VA panel and offers a 3440 x 1440 resolution, 165 Hz refresh rate, a 1500R curve, and support for both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies. What’s better is that YEYIAN is offering this monitor for only $369.99, which makes it quite affordable given its specifications. Let’s see if this display is all hype or worth picking up!

Packaging
The Sigurd 4000 comes in a very nice retail box. On the front we have a picture of the monitor and some of the main features are listed. Flipping it around to the back there are a few more picture of the monitor and we get a full list of specifications.
Opening the box up we find the monitor nicely protected. As far as accessories go you have a power cable, DisplayPort cable, VESA mounting hardware, and a user’s manual.
Like most monitors the Sigurd 4000 does not come with the stand attached. It is pretty easy to assemble though. First pop-off the mounting plate by pressing in the button on the back of the monitor. Then attach it to the main part of the stand using the included screws. From there attach the base, securing it with the larger included screw.
