Corsair unveiled their “Unplug and Play” initiative and new wireless products at CES earlier this year. While we had the chance to demo many of the products at CES, we now have them in the office to really test them out. The two products we are concentrating on today are the Dark Core RGB SE Wireless Gaming Mouse and MM1000 Mouse Pad. The Dark Core RGB SE is Corsair’s first wireless gaming mouse touting a ultra-fast 1ms 2.4GHz wireless connection, Qi wireless charging and a 16,000 DPI optical sensor. The MM1000 Mouse Pad combines the convenience of Qi wireless charging with a performance micro-textured mouse pad surface. Are these two products the perfect combination? Read on as we take a look!
Special thanks to Corsair for providing us with the Corsair Dark Core RGB SE Wireless Gaming Mouse & MM1000 Mouse Pad to review.
Dark Core RGB SE Specifications
Packaging
The Dark Core RGB SE comes in a very nice retail package. On the front there is a photo of mouse and some of the main features are listed. The front of the retail box sort of opens up like a book so you can actually get a better look at the mouse. On the inside flap there is even more information on interchangeable side grip, Qi wireless charging, and onboard profiles.
Flipping over to the back you’ll find an overview of the mouse going over the buttons and more. I would say if you were at the store you would have more than enough information about the mouse to make a purchase. Getting everything out of the box you’ll find the mouse, USB cable, extra side grip, USB receiver, MicroUSB to USB Type-A adapter, and a user’s guide.
The MM1000 also comes in a very nice retail package with a photo on the front and the main features listed. On the back you find an overview of the mousepad and even more information.
Getting everything out of the retail package you have the MM1000 mousepad, USB Qi charger, Lightning to MicroUSB adapter, USB-C to MicroUSB adapter, and a user’s guide.
