It seems like every memory company is now offering RGB modules and HyperX is now one of them releasing their first ever RGB kit in their Predator DDR4 RGB. This kit comes with an updated heatspreader design, of course RGB lighting, and one very special feature that you won’t find on other RGB kits. That special feature comes in the form of IR channels built into each module. These ensure that the RGB lighting effects don’t get out of sync, by allowing the modules to “talk to each other”. We were actually shown how this works at CES earlier this year. Today we are checking out the HX429C15PB3AK2/16 kit, which is a 16GB (2x 8GB) kit running at 2933 MHz with timings of 15-17-17-39 at 1.35V. Let’s see how this kit stacks up against other RGB kits we’ve reviewed recently.
Special thanks to HyperX for providing us with the Predator RGB DDR4-2933 16GB Memory Kit to review.

The HyperX Predator RGB kit comes in a nice retail package that has a “window” on the front so we can get a look at the modules and it lets us know the capacity and speed which is 16GB (2x 8GB) and 2933 MHz.
Flipping over to the back there is not a whole lot of information back there.
Opening the box and getting everything out we have the two modules, a HyperX sticker and a warranty and installation guide. These kits do have a lifetime warranty.
