SkyIPCam747W Overview
If you have seen any pan and tilt camera’s before this SkyIPCam747W looks similar to them. It has an all black design with a few activity LED’s on the front. The camera has the ability to pan up to 165 degrees and tilt up to 90 degrees.
The camera on the SpyIPCam747W is capable of 3 different recording modes: VGA 640 x 480, QVGA 320 x 240 and QQVGA 160 x 120. Around the lens you will notice 7 infrared LED’s and a light sensor.
Moving around to the back you will see all of the connections. From left to right you have Ethernet, GPIO, antenna, power, a reset button and a speaker connection. Also you will notice the camera has a flat base, which makes it very easy to place where u want it.
Initial Setup
Getting the SkyIPCam747W setup is pretty easy. First you need to plug in the power and take the included Ethernet cable and connect it to your router. Once you do that you need to install the included software on the utility CD.
Once you have installed the software go ahead and open it up. If you have the camera plugged in correctly it should show up in the utility window. Select it and click on the “Change IP” button. A window will come up that will allow you to set a static IP. It is a good idea to set a static IP so you will always remember it. Once you set a new IP type in the admin and the ID and admin as the password to confirm the changes.
Once you have changed everything you should still see the camera listed on the utility page. Click the “Link” button and it will open up your web browser. It will ask you to login use “admin” for both the login and password. Once you are in you can go ahead and click on the setup button on the left and then click on the smart wizard button. There is where you can configure everything and change the password if you want.
