AVADirect is a custom PC maker located in Twinsburg, Ohio, which is basically between Cleveland and Akron. It is great to see a rather large custom PC maker so close to us and in the mid-west. So many PC builders are on the west coast. AVADirect offers all different types of custom PCs from high-end gaming PCs to the home theater variety, which we are taking a look at today. The home theater PC is something that really has evolved over the past few years. So many people want to play their PC games in the living room and AVADirect’s Affinity HTPC System will definitely allow you to do that. At the same time the system will look like it actually belongs in your home theater and it will be nice and quiet. Let’s take a look at this Affinity HTPC system and see what it can do.
Special thanks to AVADirect for providing us with the Affinity HTPC System to review.

Packaging
Our Affinity system came just as if we would have ordered it directly from AVADirect. So a rather large box arrived with the AVADirect logo on it. Opening that box up inside is our case box that of course has our system in it and an accessories box.
Inside of the accessories box you will pretty much find all of the extras and accessories that came with the components in the build. These are great to have if you wanted to add or upgrade your build at a later date.
As we open the case box that has our system inside we are greeted with a “Read Before Operating” note which basically tells us to open all sides of the system and remove the pink packaging inside the system, check to see if everything is mounted correctly, and if all cables are connected correctly. And if something in your system is not right they provide a support team number.
