It has been quite a while since I’ve taken a look at a Lenovo “Yoga” laptop that was not a ThinkPad model. Lenovo’s normal Yoga line lacks the MIL-STD 810G testing and some of the other business-related features that the ThinkPad’s have, but they are some of the best convertible laptops around. That is of course why they are called “Yoga”, you can lay them flat, turn them into a tent, or even flip the screen completely around and use the laptop like a tablet. This year Lenovo has a Yoga 9i, which is available in both 14 and 15-inch versions. We have the 14-inch which features an Intel Core i7-1260P processor, 1920 x 1200 IPS display, 8GB of DDR5 memory, and one very impressive sound system.

Whether you are pickup up the Yoga 9i up at Best Buy, or you are ordering it online it is going to come in a large box and inside that box you’ll find a Yoga box, your power adapter, and a sleeve for it. Talking about the power adapter, it is a 65W Type-C adapter and is definitely the smallest power adapter I’ve seen for a Windows-based laptop.
Opening the Yoga box up inside you’ll find the Yoga 9i (nicely protected with plastic film), a Lenovo Precision Pen 2, and a quick-start guide.
For those wondering about the Precision Pen 2 it is rechargeable with a Type-C port under the cap. It has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, but for some reason it does not magnetically attach or have a spot on the Yoga 9i to store it. There is however a spot for it on the included sleeve.
