Our New PC Build for 2023!

New PC Build 2023 New PC Build 2023

It has been quite a while since I’ve updated my main PC. My daily driver was originally built 5 years ago, and has been upgraded as newer hardware came out, but over the past year some weird things started happening. First the USB ports would sometimes restart or just randomly turn off. This was obviously less than ideal, especially when doing our weekly podcast stream. On top of that it seemed when the CPU would get around 30-40% utilization the system would lock up, again not ideal. Instead of replacing the motherboard which would have likely fixed the issues, I wanted to do a new build. The main reason was faster storage and more connectivity options.

So I decided to do a brand new build. The only thing moving over from my previous build was the graphics card, which is a RTX 3090. Here is a full run-down of everything in the new build!

I really love how this build turned out! As I said the case itself is really made to show off your build and it does just that. The Lian Li Uni Fans are definitely some of my favorites as instead of having RGB lighting that illuminates in the fan blades the RGB sections are around the frame and really make for something that is unique and different. I’m really glad I went with the Phanteks AiO as the infinity mirror on the block matches our build as well. I really like that I do have a much smaller footprint on my desk too, it gives me more space and just simplifies things. It is also nice to look over at my build and see live stats on the OLED screen on the motherboard.

I’m glad I finally took the time to get this build together! This will be my main PC going forward where I’ll be doing my daily tasks of running the website, gaming, and of course editing videos.
