Final Thoughts on the ROG Delta II

Now this was my first time taking a look at a gaming headset from ASUS, so I don’t really have a previous ASUS headset to compare it to, but I think ASUS has done a lot right with the ROG Delta II.

First off for me is going to be how comfortable it is. As I mentioned this really has a lot to do with the weight of the headset. At only 316g it is very light so you don’t need a ton of cushioning on the headband. This also makes it so you don’t feel that headset strain after long gaming or working sessions. It was also nice that ASUS includes two different ear cushions to choose from. Both were very comfortable in my testing.

When it comes to the sound this headset I do have to say that it was pretty flat out of the box, but if you go into Armoury Crate you can really fine tune it to get the best sound out of it. After some tuning the headset sounds really good, especially in games. You are going to hear those big explosions and be able to pin-point enemies with the virtual surround sound. With that said I still feel that I’ve had a better virtual surround sound experience on other headsets.

The microphone quality on the other hand is top notch, especially for a wireless headset. There really is no indication that you are using a wireless headset and the microphone audio does not have a compressed sound at all. This microphone would be just fine for in-game, streaming, or taking calls.

The DualFlow Audio is one of the best features of this headset as it allows you to connect two different devices to the headset and not switch between them, but actually listen to them both at the same time. You really won’t want to go back to another headset after using one with this feature. I can be in a game (2.4 GHz) and be able to take a call (Bluetooth) with ease. Or be gaming (2.4 GHz) and be listening to music at the same time (Bluetooth). It really is a killer feature!

This headset is also going to work with pretty much any device out there whether it’s connected via 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, or a 3.5mm connection. So it can THE headset for all of your devices.

Right now you can pick this headset up at our favorite online retailer for $229.99, which I think is a very fair price for what you are getting. Overall ThinkComputers gives the ASUS ROG Delta II Wireless Gaming Headset a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
