Gaming on the AORUS CO49DQ
When it comes to gaming on the AORUS CO49DQ if you are moving from a non-OLED display you are really going to be blown away! You will notice that the colors are more vibrant, crisp, and you are going to have deeper blacks. If you are buying a gaming monitor these days it should be an OLED, just for how great games look on this display.
Now a 49-inch super-ultrawide really makes gaming more immersive as you have quite a lot of real estate. This really lends itself to racing or SIM games.
For FPS games I actually play games at 1440p in the center of the screen. It is still a large enough screen area for me and I am not moving my head left or right to see enemies etc. On top of that it saves my graphics card from working overtime trying to run a FPS at 5120 x 1440! This larger screen also means that if you are a streamer you can still play your game at 144 Hz on a part of the screen and have easy access to your stream settings, OBS, and chat.
We use the Datacolor SpyderX Pro to test the display. Out of the box we find 100% of sRGB, 84% of AdobeRGB, and 91% of P3 color spaces.
