Building in the Fractal Design Mood
With all of our panels removed it is time to start installation. The first thing I decided to install was our motherboard. With the panels removed you have more than enough room secure your motherboard and connect all of your cables. You are going to want to make sure you connect all of your cables to your motherboard before you install anything else as once we add in more hardware certain connections / headers will becoming harder to access. Also don’t forget to connect the PCIe riser cable to your motherboard.
The next thing to install is our power supply, which goes in right above our motherboard. Once you have it secured in the case be sure to connect it to the provided extension cable.
For storage I am going to be using a 2.5-inch solid state drive, I decided to install it in the primary hard drive cage as I am not going to make use of the cooling bracket. With the cooling bracket removed from the case I can easily install my drive and then reinstall the whole cooling backet and connect power and a SATA cable to my drive.
The last thing to install is our graphics card. I decided to use the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Gaming OC which I was a bit worried about fitting. After I got it installed it did extend over the edge of the case a bit, but I made sure to see if the panels would go back on and there were no issues at all.
Installation of all of my hardware was extremely easy and I was able to organize my cables quite easily too. There are tie-down points scattered throughout the case to keep things inside nice a tidy. I would suggest before you close the system up do spin your fans to make sure they won’t hit any of your cables. Here is what our system looks like with all of our hardware installed.
