Lian Li SUP-01 Case Overview
Taking a first look at the SUP-01 you can see that we received the white version of the case. Currently Lian Li is only offering this case in white or black versions. When it comes to size this case is as tall as a normal case, length-wise it is shorter. The official dimensions are (D) 404mm x (W) 212mm x (H) 534mm and it is a 45-liter case.
Starting at the front of the case it is separated where the top 80% of the case is mesh and the bottom half is a solid white. There is a Lian Li logo towards the bottom of the case. There is actually your power and reset buttons, where the “Lian” is the power and the “Li” is the reset.
The front mesh section of the case easily pulls off and it’s worth mentioning that this section of the case is made of metal, not plastic. There is also a magnetic filter on the front of the case. With the front of the case removed we can see where we’ll mount our graphics card. There is a 4-slot bracket that will support graphics cards up to 380mm by default, but you can move the bracket down to accommodate graphics cards as long as 400mm.
The top of the case is fully ventilated as well and and this section of the case is also metal, not plastic. It has a magnetic filter attached to it just like the front. There is no cooling on the top of the case, but we can see a GPU brace bracket which will help support your graphics card in the front of the case.
The main side of the case is separated into the same 80/20 that we saw on the front. The top 80% is a tempered glass panel which is going to show off everything in the main compartment of the case. The bottom 20% section is white, but towards the front you’ll find some buttons and connections. There are two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-C port, a combination audio jack, and “C” and “M” buttons which are used for the RGB lighting on the case.
The opposite side panel of the case is all mesh, so you’ll have some good airflow going through this case.
Moving around to the back of the case it is all pretty much ventilated, but the holes are quite large for the best airflow. You have your motherboard mount with seven half-height I/O slots. This is much like what we saw on the HYTE Y60 and Y40 cases as they also shipped with a PCIe riser card. This does limit any expansion cards you want to install on your motherboard to half-height. There are four velcro straps on the back of the case to easily route all of the cables coming from your motherboard. And towards the bottom is a passthrough grommet for routing cables from your graphics card outside of the case. Down at the bottom is also your power supply mount and a pull-out filter.
