ASUS ProArt PA602 Overview

The first thing you’ll notice about the PA602 is just how large it is. It has official dimensions of 593 x 560 x 245 mm and will weigh in at 15.8 kg (34.83 lbs). This means once you fill this case with hardware it is going to be quite heavy! The case is all black and that is currently the only color ASUS will be offering this case in.

The front of the case has a grill that is spaced out (15.5mm between each grill section) to allow for proper airflow into the case. Towards the bottom of the case is an elegant ProArt logo. It is hard to notice at first but built into the grill is ProArt logo.

The front grill of the case can be easily remove by simply pressing in on the two buttons that are built into each side of the case. Built into the grill is a removable filter. The cool thing about this filter is that ASUS has installed an IR dust indicator that will let you know when the filter needs to be cleaned. There is a small LED on the side of the case that will light up when cleaning is needed.

The front of the case features two pre-installed 200mm cooling fans. These fans are thicker than most at 38mm. Both fans are pre-wired to the fan controller, which we will show you in just a bit.

With the front grill of the case removed we can access the bottom removable filter as it just slides out. It goes across the entire bottom of the case.

Moving up to the top of the case you’ll find all of your buttons and connections. From left to right you have a fan control button (auto & max are the only settings), a combination headphone / mic port, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a small reset button, a lock slider, and a larger power button.

The rest of the top of the case is ventilated. There is a tab at the back of the case that you pull to remove the ventilated panel. With the panel removed we can see a cooling bracket that will support three 120 or 140mm fans as well as radiators up to 420mm. This cooling bracket can be removed for easy installation of fans or radiators. ASUS has added room towards the back of the case to hide the WiFi antenna that comes with your motherboard. These have even added a rubber-lined routing hole for the cables.

The main side panel of the case is a tempered glass panel, which is tinted. You will notice that there is actually some ventilation built into it. This is going to be really good for keeping your graphics card cool, especially if you vertically mount it. You will notice a large groove towards the top of the case, these are on each side and sort of act like handles for you to pick up the case. These handles are quite sturdy, especially considering the weight of the case. And then at the bottom of the case is more ventilation as we can see the case is lifted off the ground. The opposite side panel is just your normal steel panel.

Moving around to the back of the case we have a pretty standard design with a cooling bracket that has a 140mm fan pre-installed, our motherboard mount, ventilation, and our power supply mount at the bottom of the case. There are a total of 8 expansion slot covers, so we would classify this case as a full tower. There is a tool-free graphics card clamp for easy installation of your graphics cards which we will see how effective it is in our installation. You will also notice a set of wheels on the back of the case, these allow you to lift up the front part of the case and easily move your system around. You can also easily add casters / larger wheels to the bottom of the case without even having to modify anything! Not many cases offer that and it is definitely good to see here.
