Gigabyte G27Q Overview
Taking a first look at the Gigabyte G27Q it has a pretty standard look to it. With an all-black bezel and stand it does not really give off the gamer vibe as other monitors would. For those wondering with the stand attached the monitor has dimensions of 619.04mm x 518.88mm x 202.97mm (WxHxD).
Looking at the monitor from the side we can see that it is not all that thick, but that and does add to that.
The only real branding on the front of the monitor is a small Gigabyte logo on the bottom bezel. The side and top bezels on this display are some of the smallest I’ve seen. If you haven’t guessed yet this is not a curved display, which does make it ideal for fast-paced FPS gamers.
The included stand allows you to move the display up and down as well as tilt adjustment, but you cannot pivot the display or change its orientation. Below you can see the display at its lowest point and then at its highest, which is 130 mm.
The base of the stand has a plastic coating over the metal and again is pretty basic. The two sections comes off in a “V” shape, which means you have room in the center for say your phone. The stand also offers a hole for cable management.
The back of the monitor is all black, but the top section is glossy has has the Gigabyte logo in the top left. In the bottom right there is a text “G27Q” going up the side of the monitor. In the opposite corner there is a joystick, which also acts as a power button for the display. As you can see the stand itself is attached to the monitor with 4 screws, so if you wanted to mount this on an arm all you would have to do is remove these four screws.
As far as connections go on the monitor you have a headphone jack, 1x DisplayPort, 2x HDMI, and a power connection for the AC adapter on the right side. On the left you have two USB 3.0 ports and your USB 3.0 input.
