At their 10th Anniversary event in Hong Kong Zotac unveiled their new VR GO Backpack. If you remember Zotac first showed off the VR Go Backpack at Computex. Since then they have taken the feedback from both gamers and VR makers like HTC and Oculus to improve upon the original design. We were at the event in Hong Kong and got to see the new VG GO Backpack first hand! Check out the video of it below!

This new VG GO Backpack work with all consumer VR headsets and is powered by a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card. Zotac has moved away from the backpack look and has gone with a hard shell design now. There are HDMI and USB ports on the top of the device so you can easily connect your VR headset.

Your other connections are located on the side of the device. From what we saw there are dual Ethernet ports, two DisplayPort, two HDMI, four USB 3.0, SD card slot, and HD audio connections. This device is of course made to be played on the go and it is battery powered. From what Zotac tells us there are dual battery packs (located on the bottom of the unit) which will provide at least 2 hours of gaming time.

Since you are on the go the backpack also allows you to easily connect and carry your VR headset and controllers. I had the chance to pickup the headset and it was not that heavy at all. No word yet on pricing or when the VR Go Backpack will be available.
