Strimer V2 Plus 24-pin ATX Extension Cable
The Strimer V2 Plus 24-pin ATX extension cable has official dimensions of 267mm(L) X 56.6mm (D) X 8mm (H) with the cable section being 220mm overall. As you can see it comes with the black clips pre-installed on each end.
If you are wondering how these cables work they are individually sleeved power cables that have a set of ARGB strings that sit on top of them. The clips on each side keep the ARGB strings in place. For the 24-pin cable you are going to get a total of 120 ARGB LEDs. The big difference between V1 and V2 cables is that Lian Li has made the these strings thinner for a better overall look and keeps the cable thinner.
On one side of the cable you have the extension connector and a control cable for the lighting. This is a Lian Li proprietary cable that gets connected into the included controller. On the opposite side you have your 24-pin ATX power connection.
The 24-pin cable does ship with the controller, so if you want software control of one of the GPU cables you’ll either have to connect it to your motherboard (with the supplied cable) or buy the controller separately. The controller is a simple small box that has a SATA power cable permanently connected it to. On the same side as this cable is a connection for motherboard lighting control and a micro USB connection. On the opposite end is a proprietary connector for the 24-pin cable. Finally on the long side of the controller is are two more proprietary connections and a switch. These connections are for the GPU cables and the switch is to indicate which one you are using. So the controller will only power 1 24-pin cable and 1 GPU cable. I think this is fine as we’ve really moved away from multi-GPU setups.
