Gigabyte AORUS FO27Q3 Overview

As we take a first look at the AORUS FO27Q3 it is a 27-inch non-curved display. I feel that most FPS and fast-paced gamers do prefer a flat display over a curved display. The display itself is all black with a small AORUS logo on the bottom bezel in the center. The display does have a glossy finish on it, which is something you want to consider if you are going to be using this monitor say in front of a window.

The stand Gigabyte is making use of is a “V-style” stand which I’m not particularly a fan of. Even though the legs of the stand are thin, it does take up considerable real-estate on your desk, especially if you are a large desk pad person. In the center of the stand is an AORUS logo and we can see some cable management built into the stand itself.

This stand allows you to adjust the monitor up or down, swivel it left or right, and angle it forward or back.

You can also fully rotate the display to a 90-degree angle on the stand too, which is not all that common. On the underside of the monitor in the center you’ll find a joystick and two buttons for controlling the on-screen menu.

Looking at the display from the back it has a really sleek design with an AORUS logo towards the top. We can also see just how thin the actual OLED panel is. For those wondering this display does support a standard 100 x 100 VESA mount if you don’t want to use the included stand.

All of your connections are located on the underside of the monitor. For standard display connections there are two HDMI 2.1 and a single DisplayPort 1.4. Having HDMI 2.1 means that you can connect a PlayStation 5 or XBOX Series X and enjoy 120 Hz gameplay. There is also a Type-C port that supports alternate mode, as well as 18W power delivery. There is a built-in KVM here too, so there is a USB-B connector (cable included) that you would connect to your PC and then you get two downstream USB-A ports. This will allow you to connect a keyboard and mouse to the monitor itself. You also get both headphone and microphone jacks too.
