EPOMAKER RT100 Mechanical Keyboard Review

Final Thoughts

This is the first keyboard that we’ve taken a look at from EPOMAKER and I have to say I am quite impressed. The thing that really stands out to me about this keyboard is the typing experience. It is one of the most comfortable keyboards that I’ve used. The combination of the gasket-mount design, PBT keycaps and EPOMAKER’s Sea Salt Silent switches really make this keyboard a joy to type on. On top of that this keyboard is one of the quietest that I’ve used too, you could totally use it in a office setting.

The colorway that we received, the Retro White looks awesome and really gives you the old school feeling as well. Of course if that is not your thing there are four other colorways available. Another really cool thing and an extra addon to this keyboard is the little screen. The screen will allow you to display an image or GIF and shows the time, date, local temperature, and battery level of the keyboard. I was not able to get the screen to display CPU usage. I also wish the screen was angled back a bit for a better viewing angle.

You can use this keyboard wired or wireless using the included 2.4 GHz dongle or via Bluetooth. The included USB cable is quite nice and matches the keyboard well and even has a little embedded LED on the end to let you know it is powered. While the keyboard does have a multi-media knob, it does look a bit out of place on the keyboard.

For a pre-built keyboard EPOMAKER has done a good job on this one and the best part it is not going to break the back either. You can pick this keyboard up at our favorite online retailer for $115.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the EPOMAKER RT100 Mechanical Keyboard an 8 out of 10 score.
