Final Thoughts
I think that Hollyland is definitely on to something with their Lark C1 Wireless Microphone System for iPhone. Many people are creating content using their iPhone and for many people the stock microphone’s on the phone just won’t cut it, especially in noisy conditions. So with the Lark C1 you have really goods audio quality that will not change if you move your iPhone around or walk away from it.
I think the best thing about the Lark C1 is that it really is plug in play. Plug the receiver into your iPhone and take out the microphone’s and they are instantly connected. There is no pairing sequence you have to go through or even an app to install, they just work. This simplicity was perfect for us at CES 2023 where we conducted many interviews using our iPhone and the Lark C1! Since the microphone’s are small and use a clip system it was easy to get them on our guests and they really didn’t stick out all that much.
Hollyland does provide an app if you wanted to change some of the settings on the microphones and monitor battery and audio levels.
I think the only real thing that is missing from these microphone’s is a microphone connection on the actual units if you wanted to connect a lavalier microphone. This is a feature I have on my Rode Wireless Go microphone.
