NVIDIA launched their RTX graphics cards back in September and we finally go our hands on one! With the RTX series NVIDIA hope to bring real-time ray-tracing to the masses. This technology is so important to NVIDIA that they actually changed the naming of these cards from GTX to RTX. Since the launch there are a plethora of RTX cards available in RTX 2070, RTX 2080, and RTX 2080 Ti flavors. The card we are taking a look at today is an RTX 2080, which currently sits as Zotac’s flagship RTX 2080. It is the RTX 2080 AMP Extreme and features a 16-phase VRM, a very impressive 1905 MHz Boost clock and memory overclock, and a new shroud design with RGB lighting. The Zotac GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme comes in a very nice retail box, which like all RTX boxes has the product name in the bottom right corner. Many of the features are listed towards the bottom left.
Flipping the box over we have a large photo of the card and many of the features are detailed.
Opening the box up and getting everything out we of course have the Zotac GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme Graphics Card, two 8-pin PCIe to dual Molex power connectors, and a user’s guide.
