Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra 200 series is expected to be released at the end of next month. With this new launch it appears that we will be getting a retail box redesign with new accent colors. Let’s start with the flagship model, the Core Ultra 9 285K. It looks like Intel is going with a black box this time we blue accents. On this model you are going to see grey plastic packaging on the inside, which will protect and hold the processor.
According to a recent leak this processor will feature 8 “Lion Cove” P-Cores and 16 “Skymont” E-Cores and will boost up to 5.7 GHz and have a TDP of 125W.
Other box designs that have been leaked include the Core Ultra 7 265K/KF, and the Core Ultra 5 245K/KF. These boxes have a more simple design and do not feature the opening on the side with the plastic packaging. Inside you are just going to get a plastic blister pack inside with a case badge.
On all of the boxes the “Intel Core Ultra” branding is quite prominent on the front of the box with the series (5,7,9) in the top right corner of the box. According to leaks these processors are scheduled to be announced on October 10th with a release on October 24th.
