Viotek GNV30CBXA Overview
Taking a first look at the GNV30CBXA it has a very similar design to the Viotek SUW49DA we took a look at earlier this year. So the monitor itself is all black with very thing bezels except the bottom bezel which is a tad bit thicker and has the Viotek logo in the center and a small LED towards the right size to let you know the display is powered on. There are no controls on the front of the monitor or below the front bezel.
Looking at the monitor from the side it is not all that thick, but definitely not the thinnest display we’ve seen either. The screen has an 1800R curve, which I feel is pretty standard for an ultrawide.
Moving around to the back of the monitor there is a large Viotek logo across the back, but it can easily get covered depending on how high or low you have the monitor sitting. On the left side of the monitor you’ll find the controls. Viotek has gone with a button system here so you have a large power button and then four smaller buttons to navigate the menu system. On the opposite side of the monitor is a lock port. Around the center of the back of the monitor is a LED right, this really is not going to put off a bunch of light, but I guess its nicer than nothing back there.
As far as connections go on the display they are up under the back of the monitor. There are two HDMI 1.4, one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort, audio pass-through, and a standard power connection.
The stand does have a pretty large oval hole in it to help route your cables. The stand itself is the “V” type, which I don’t hate or love. The “V” of course is to provide good stability for the display itself.
The stand allows for vertical adjustment, so you can have the display pretty low to your desk and then move it up a total of 4.72 inches. You can swivel the display back and forth for some pretty extreme angles and finally you can tilt the display between 5 and 15 degrees. The stand actually supports rotation as well, but I assume since this is a curved display you wouldn’t be doing that.
