OdinLake Ergo MAX 747 Office Chair
Taking a first look at the chair the thing I really noticed was the full aluminum alloy frame. On many chairs the frame will actually be made of steel, but here we have aluminum alloy, which not only is going to last a long time, but it looks awesome, giving the chair an almost futuristic look.
One of the biggest things you’ll notice about this chair compared to a gaming chair is that OdinLake is using a mesh material rather than some type of PU leather. After reviewing some other chairs with mesh I have to say that this mesh feels much more premium and has a really good feel to it. Of course having mesh means that the chair is going to be breathable, which is great if your office or workspace happens to get hot. Don’t worry about comfort though as the mesh will conform to your body pretty well.
This mesh is most noticeable in the backrest, which is made up of three different sections. This is for sure a departure from most chairs these days, but should give you all of the support your need. The bottom section is the lumbar support, the middle section will support your spine, and the top part will support your shoulder blades. The entire backrest can be adjusted up or down by simply lifting up on it and there are five height settings. The lumbar support has three different height adjustments and can easily be set by a lever on the back of the chair. All of these adjustments can be made while you are sitting in the chair.
At the top of the chair you will find your headrest. It can be adjusted up or down to your liking, but it can also be angled up or down. One really cool thing about this chair that I haven’t seen in other chairs is the bar on the back of the chair that allows your to throw a backpack, purse, gaming headset and more on it. This is great if you are using the chair in an office environment and of course keeps your setup area nice and clean.
Moving down to the arm rests, we have 4D armrests. If you are not familiar 4D means that you can adjust them up, down, forward, back, and angle them in or out. The arm rests themselves have a sort of soft touch coating on them and are decently comfortable.
The controls on the chair are quite interesting. OdinLake is making use of a wire system much like a brake system you would find on a bike. This makes adjusting the chair extremely easy and takes minimal effort. On one side you have two levers. The first will allow you to adjust the seat forward or backwards. The second will allow you to adjust the seat height. On the other side is another lever that allows you to control the backrest. Basically it just enables or disables its functionality. So if you want to sit back and relax you just press down on it, and it will release the backrest giving you a relaxing 135-degree angle when you lean back. On the opposite side there is also a knob that will adjust the elasticity of the backrest allowing you to find the perfect setting for your liking.
Finally at the bottom of the chair we have our base, which also has that awesome chrome finish. Here we have large wheels that do actually glide pretty decently on carpet.
