When it comes to portable solid state drives you really want them to be durable. Typically you are taking these drives with you, using them on camera rigs, and even with mobile devices. You don’t want a drive that can’t survive the elements or is going to break as soon as you accidently drop it. Lexar knows that and recently released their Armor 700 portable solid state drive. This is a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 drive so you know it is going to be fast, but on top of that it offers IP66 dust and water protection and is wrapped in a rugged outer casing that protects the drive from drops. Is this the portable SSD you need? Read on as we find out!

Special thanks to Lexar for providing us with the ARMOR 700 Portable Solid State Drive to review.
