Performance Testing on the ASUS RT-BE96U
When it comes to performance testing we will be testing all three WiFi bands (2.4 GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz) in three different locations throughout my two bedroom apartment. To give you an idea of the layout see the floor plan below.
The red square is where I have the router placed. The three red X’s are where I’ll be testing speeds from. For testing we are going to be using the Gigabyte AORUS 16X (2024) Gaming Laptop which features WiFi 7 connectivity.
The results you see above are without AiMesh and my GT-AX110000 in the picture. Adding it, enabling AiMesh and placing it in the bedroom furthest away from the router gives us better performance on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands (which are the only two the GT-AX110000 supports) when I am in the bedroom.
